Biblical Understanding based on the Record of Scripture
We like to believe we are independent thinkers using our brain power to systematically sort out truth and error, fact and fiction. It may be closer to truth that the tribe or tribes we associate with have a greater effect on how we form beliefs and opinions than we realize. Family of origin, political party, church/religion, social media and others all have their impact. Careful study of scripture is necessary to be sure our beliefs are indeed based on the revealed word of God.
