Biblical Understanding based on the Record of Scripture
In Psalm 23, we see YHVH is my Shepherd. In John 10, we see that Jesus is our Shepherd. We see references to some in the Bible, like David, the judges, and others being referred to as shepherds of the people, where they had responsibilities of feeding, tending and protecting the people. In Genesis 4:9, Cain asked if he was his brother's keeper. How much do you have a responsibility to feed, tend, and protect those around you? Jesus does what He sees YHVH do. How much are we expected to do what we see Them do?
